We want as many people as possible to enjoy the atmosphere, events and experiences of Pumpkin Weeks. As Pumpkin Weeks is created through the collaboration of many different organisers and partners, accessibility-related information and responsibilities are shared between several parties.

Pumpkin Weeks
Pumpkin Weeks is Salo’s shared celebration of autumn, bringing together local businesses, events, associations and experiences. Our mission is to increase the visibility of local organisations, encourage collaboration, and invite both residents and visitors to discover the services, attractions and unique atmosphere of the region.
Salo Entrepreneurs Association (Salon Yrittäjät ry) is responsible for the shared marketing of Pumpkin Weeks and for maintaining this website. We bring together local events, businesses and experiences in one place and provide visitors with information to help them plan their visit.

Pumpkin Park
Pumpkin Park is located at the Rannikon Puutarha greenhouse site in the village centre of Halikko. The area is an active horticultural farm that welcomes visitors during Pumpkin Weeks.
The theme of Pumpkin Park in 2026 is primary food production. Visitors can see where Finnish food is grown and discover products and flavours made from ingredients grown by the farm itself.
Rannikon Puutarha is first and foremost a grower and food producer. What makes the Pumpkin Park special is the opportunity to visit a real farming environment that is opened to the public during the event. Accessibility has been considered and developed as far as possible within the site's operating conditions, and efforts are ongoing to improve accessibility where feasible.
Accessibility on Site
The Pumpkin Park is partially accessible. The site includes paved pathways as well as gravel surfaces, grassy areas and uneven terrain. Ground conditions may also be affected by weather, such as rain. Some of the experiences and displays are located in the pumpkin field, which is not accessible.
Accessible Parking
Visitors displaying a valid accessible parking permit may park within the Pumpkin Park area daily between 10 AM and 4 PM. After 4 PM, the park's courtyard area is closed to vehicle traffic. Visitor numbers are highest in the evening, and the area becomes busy with pedestrians. This arrangement helps ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for everyone.

Toilets
There is no accessible toilet at Pumpkin Park.
The nearest accessible toilet is located at Prisma Halikko, which is open 24 hours a day.

Pumpkin Bus
The City of Salo provides a dedicated Pumpkin Bus (Paikku route 622) during Pumpkin Weeks. The bus operates daily between Salo Railway Station, Halikko, Pumpkin Park and Märynummi.
Accessibility of the Pumpkin Bus
The Pumpkin Bus is operated with a low-floor bus, with no steps when boarding and no steps in the area between the front and rear doors. There is limited space near the rear door for wheelchairs, rollators and prams/strollers.
Paikku participates in the EU Disability Card scheme. An accompanying person travelling with a passenger who holds an EU Disability Card with an A marking may travel free of charge. The cardholder pays the normal fare.
Tickets
Regular Paikku tickets and fares are valid on the Pumpkin Bus. In addition to cash payments, single tickets can be purchased through the Waltti Mobile app. A single ticket costs €3.15 for adults and €1.65 for children.
Passengers travelling with a pram or stroller pay the normal fare for their age group. Children aged 0–6 travel free when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger.
