Welcome to our guided walking tour along the ancient trail of Rikalanmäki Hill!
Rikalanmäki stands as a small ridge amidst the cultivated fields of Halikko, near the river and church. Archaeological discoveries in the area date back as far as the Ice Age, but the most significant finds are from the end of the Finnish Iron Age. In the Rikala area, two Iron Age burial sites have been discovered. Rikalanmäki and the nearby Linnamäki (Fort Hill) are part of the nationally significant landscape of the Halikko River Valley.
